What do we do with the Imprecatory Psalms?

The imprecatory psalms in the Bible are some the hardest part of reading the psalms. What do we do with them? Should we pray them against our enemies? Should we even hate our enemies? Jesus told us in the Sermon of the Mount to love our enemies. Jesus, when wronged by being crucified on a cross—prayed “Father forgive them.”
When preparing this meditation on Psalm 58, I listened to several selections of psalm 58 on my Apple Music app. I was surprised at how many different genres of music styles are available for singing the psalms —country, rap, heavy metal, contemporary and even the blues. I have posted several links below if you want a sample of the better ones I listened to.
